*

As you already know, aluminum is a toxic metal, but it's actually found in commercial anti-perspirants!  If you want to stop poisoning your body, switching to a healthy deodorant alternative is a great place to start, and this recipe makes it very easy to do!

Coconut Oil Deodorant Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons organic coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) aluminum-free baking soda
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) arrowroot powder
  • essential oils for scent (optional)

Coconut Oil Deodorant Instructions

  1. Mix baking soda and arrowroot together in a medium sized bowl.
  2. Mash in coconut oil with a fork until well mixed.
  3. Add essential oils, if desired.
  4. Store in small glass jar or old deodorant container for easy use, or fill empty deodorant containers so you don't have to get it on your hands when applying!
  5. *** For sensitive skin, decrease baking soda to 2 tablespoons and increase arrowroot powder to 6 tablespoons
